I design tools for people doing 
work that matters.

I didn't start out in product design. I studied molecular biology, then spent a few years teaching before landing at Coursera, where I learned how modern products get built. Eventually, I got tired of just talking about features and decided to design them myself.

This path's made me a strong generalist. I comfortably move from high-level product strategy down to tiny micro-interactions. I'm often the person you throw at an ambiguous problem to shape it into something teams can actually build.

Outside of work, I rock climb, make left-field electronic music, and goof around with my kid.
