My winding path has made me better at connecting the dots.

I taught and worked in nonprofits before landing at Coursera, where I learned how modern product gets built. I've spent the years since at LinkedIn and Benchling, designing for people navigating complex systems.

That path gave me a working sense of how systems function and where they let people down. I'm a problem-solver first, more interested in what's actually happening on the ground than in any particular tool or medium.

Outside of work, I make electronic music, play with my kid, and build tools for little things that bug me.

If there's a throughline, it's that good design gets out of the way and helps people do what they want, whether that's a scientist reviewing lab data or a producer finishing a track.
