I didn't start out in product design. I studied molecular bio, taught kids, and ran a non-profit. That took me to Coursera, where I helped grow it from its early days. Eventually, I jumped into product design because I wanted to build solutions instead of just talking about them.

This winding path's made me a pretty good problem-solver and it's taught me that the best solutions, no matter how simple or complex, are rooted in a deep understanding of people.

Outside of work, I dig for records and make electronic music, play with my kid, and learn about as many things as I can.
