My winding path has made me better at connecting the dots.

I taught and worked in nonprofits before landing at Coursera, where I learned how modern product gets built. I've spent the years since at LinkedIn and Benchling, designing for people navigating complex systems.

That path taught me how systems nest inside larger ones, and gave me empathy for the people navigating them. Understanding a problem fully means understanding every layer of it, from people to pixels.

If there's a throughline, it's that good design gets out of the way and empowers people, whether that's a scientist reviewing lab data or a producer finishing a track.

Outside of work, I make electronic music, play with my kid, and build tools for little things that bug me. Always happy to talk design, ideas, or whatever you're building.
